'Arts, Culture and the Environment in Cornwall' was the third in a series of online events which focus on communication of, and connection with, interdisciplinary research at the University of Exeter's Cornwall campuses. Watch a recording of the latest event below. Hosted by the Environment and Sustainability Institute, Humanities Penryn and Arts and Culture.

'Arts, Culture and the Environment in Cornwall' was the third in a series of events which offer a cross-campus format for sharing research and emergent ideas, to give an audience (of non-specialists) a broad impression of active work, including its significance, methods and insights. The events showcase the nature of interdisciplinary work at the University's Cornwall campuses, in a way that hopefully provokes playful, dynamic and ongoing interactions.
For this latest event on Wednesday 21st July, four speakers explored a range of projects and research areas relating to arts, culture, creativity, wellbeing, science, technology, climate and environment.
The line-up included:
Victoria Tichler, Associate Professor in Public Health, Sustainability and Environment at the European Centre for Environment and Human Health who discussed creativity, mental health research and public engagement: multisensory approaches to dementia care.
Dr Aimée Lê, writer, director, performer and Associate Lecturer in Creative Writing at the University of Exeter, Penryn. She spoke about Earth Humanities, contemporary poetry and performance: arts and humanities with/in science and technology.
Claire English, Cornwall based producer and arts consultant shared more about 'Catalyst', an online exhibition which celebrated a decade of art/science collaborations at the University's Environment and Sustainability Institute (ESI).
Dr Elze Hesse, Research Fellow at the University's ESI, who spoke about how can microbial behaviour help in the clean-up of metal-polluted environments.
This event was hosted by the Environment and Sustainability Institute, Humanities Penryn and Arts and Culture.
