Launched in 2023, FX Creative Together is a unique knowledge and skills exchange programme which celebrates the rich interdisciplinary environment of the Penryn campus, bringing together University of Exeter and Falmouth University students for a 40-hour paid creative internship throughout June.

In 2025 three pairs of interns are took inspiration from the varied material held in FX Archives and Special Collections at the Penryn campus. Below you can watch a short film about the project and discover more about the interns and the work they created.

Exhibition: In the Company of Land and Sea

Work from all three collaborations was featured in an exhibition titled In the Company of Land and Sea which was shown at two locations on the Penryn campus throughout August and September 2025. The exhibition not only showcased our connection to nature but exemplifies how it has acted as a third collaborator to the 2025 FX Creative Together pairings.

This 2025 FX Creative Together programme was funded by Arts and Culture, University of Exeter (Cornwall), in partnership with the University of Exeter, Cornwall’s Department for Humanities and Social Sciences and the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences (DEES) on Penryn Campus.
