Book Club - Creative Leadership

In late 2023 we teamed up with the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Team, and The Education Incubator to bring you a cross-campus book club open to all university staff and students who have a keen interest in working on anti-racism and other EDI initiatives within the university.

We met monthly throughout 2024, to read and discuss Rama Gheerawo's book 'Creative Leadership: Born From Design'. The book club became a space to discuss the ideas, link them to our EDI activities, and hold conversation for supportive discussions around the challenges and possible solutions.

First Book - Creative Leadership: Born From Design

Creative Leadership is a transformational process that focuses on individual growth, which in turn can have a powerful impact on projects, teams or organisations. Leadership has to become more diverse, empathic and enabling. The Creative Leadership book is based on the principles and practice of inclusive design, and devised by Rama Gheerawo.

The Arts and CUlture team have a limited number of free copies of the book available for University of Exeter staff and students. Please contact us if you would like to obtain one: artsandculture@exeter.ac.uk.
