Pen and ink on paper
My work is partly influenced by a curiosity about the horizons of astrophysics and tries to relate to ideas that investigate the nature of space, mass and time. This pen and ink drawing relates to The Observatory theme as it refers to the supernova PTF-11kly which was visible in 2011.
I agree with the physicist, the late Dr Richard Feynman, when he referred to the difficulty of science to fully capture the marvel of our universe and for the need for art to help bridge the gap between the tangible and intangible.
