Are you a story lover? Do you like telling stories?
From Film scripts to spoken-word, graphic novels, plays and novels.
Would you like to hear from storytelling experts about how they use creative writing processes to produce engaging content across different platforms?
As a part of Exeter Literary Festival, Exeter Central Library welcomes 2 leading performance writers alongside acclaimed writer and performance poet Polarbear to talk through the process of writing for stage, screen or page.
Inua Ellams, a UK-based poet, playwright and performer who has written for the Royal Shakespeare Company, Royal National Theatre and the BBC (Barbershop Chronicles) and Kieran Hurley, a writer, performer and theatre maker and winner of the Edinburgh Fringe Fest Award (Beats), are both leaders in their field and will be sharing their insights in telling stories across all forms.
StoryTalk events will be livestreamed to libraries across the country as part of the British Library’s Living Knowledge Network (of which Exeter Library is a member).
The StoryTalk: Stage, Screen and Page event will also be livestreamed directly into the British Library. This event is part of Evolve, an Arts Council England funded programme.
Tickets are £7 full price and £5 concessions and can be booked here.
